I’m looking to purchase a 2025 Tundra Platinum, with a sticker price of $77,402. The dealer adjustment is $5,018 plus $2,000 customer cash, which brings it down to $70,321. I’m curious if anyone else is seeing better adjustments in their area?
I’m not in a rush to buy, so I gave the sales guy my number and asked him to call me at the end of the month when he needs to sell one more vehicle.
Have you considered certified pre-owned? I got a 2024 Platinum hybrid in February with 30K miles for $57K sale price ($64K OTD). I paid essentially cash (financed and paid it off before the first payment), so I wasn’t worried about APR.
I picked up a 2025 Platinum hybrid in January with a similar MSRP (around $77,800) and they sold it to me for $69k even. I felt pretty good about that deal. I didn’t spend a lot of time negotiating lower, but I did check with a couple other dealers and none offered a better deal on a similar truck. I haven’t looked at prices since then… in the Houston area.
The problem is the MSRP gets inflated by unnecessary overpriced extras. Mine came with a dash cam I didn’t want and a console safe I didn’t need. But I liked the bedliner, HUD, and running boards. The actual MSRP for my truck was closer to $74-75k for the options I actually wanted. In my case, the selling price was even lower than the base price without extras or destination charges, so that’s something, and your deal seems similar.
If you were planning to get the tonneau cover (assuming it’s decent) and want some or all the other extras, then I think your deal looks pretty good. Others here might consider it a bit high… but I doubt you’ll manage to get them to lower it significantly. Good luck!
