What color should I paint my new bumper after sanding off the chrome… match the olive or go black?

Had to replace the rear bumper and picked up a super clean chrome one. I’m planning to sand it down—just not sure what color to go with. Should I match the olive green body or go with black instead?

Matte black would look clean.

Definitely black.

Why would you mess with a perfect chrome bumper?

Haha yeah, it’s in great shape. I might leave it chrome honestly.

You should! That chrome looks awesome with the green. Painting it would just make it look kind of plain.

Is your front bumper chrome too?

Nope, front’s painted olive like the rest. Bought it that way, been slowly upgrading stuff.

Then I’d do both bumpers black and make it match all around.

Both black?

Yeah, front and rear. Keep it consistent.

Your 4Runner looks awesome as is. I think chrome on both ends would really pop.

Since the front isn’t chrome, I’d go with black. Maybe do both to match.

Black all the way.

If the front bumper is color-matched, I’d do the same for the rear.

I think yellow could look great against olive—just something different.

Matte gold or bronze could also look pretty slick.
