What do you think about the safety of the new Tundras?

LOL, real life isn’t like TV.

A kid killed four people in a DUI crash and got off with probation because his lawyer used ‘affluenza’ as a defense. Ethan Couch was his name. Look it up—it’s insane.

@Rye
Was the driver uninsured? I hope not, but it sounds like it might be the case :rage:. Glad you’re okay, though.

@Rye
I’m a firefighter/EMT. Keep some strong painkillers handy because the pain might kick in tomorrow or the next day. Glad you made it out mostly okay!

@Rye
Hopefully, she has insurance. If she does, sue the insurance company for covering such a huge liability.

How do you like those protein shakes? I’ve been thinking of trying them.

Looks like they might cause indigestion or worse.

I love them! They’re cheaper and smoother than Fairlife if you get them at Sam’s Club.

Since someone already claimed the protein shakes, I call dibs on the shotgun shells.

Pretty sure the person who posted this used them on the other driver.

They don’t taste great, but the macros are solid. Still, the Sam’s Club ones are better value.

LOL, let’s focus on the truck, not the shakes.

It’s great to see the inside held up so well. Sorry this happened, but at least you’re okay. Are you thinking of getting another one?

I’m actually planning to buy a mint 2001 I found. Hoping to go without payments for a while.

@Rye
Check the crash ratings on older models. Cars from the 90s weren’t great in accidents because they didn’t have advanced designs like modern ones. Glad you’re okay!

Agreed. If you’d been in a 2001, you probably wouldn’t have walked away from this.

Good point. Older trucks weren’t built to handle modern crash tests. Glad you’re safe!

@Rye
I’ve had two first-gen Tundras and miss them, but they’re definitely not as safe as the newer ones. Just keep that in mind.

@Rye
‘01 gang represent!

@Rye
I really hope you rethink that. You might not have survived in an older truck.
