I usually put in 87 octane. Should I be using a higher grade sometimes, or is that just a waste of money?
No need. It’s a waste of money.
Stick with 87. The Camry won’t see any real benefit from higher octane.
Just use what the manual recommends. If it says 87, that’s all you need.
If you want the best fuel, ethanol-free gas is a good option. But regular 87 is fine.
Unless your engine is designed to take advantage of higher octane, there’s no point. My ‘19 SE says 87. Not sure about the V6 though.
Checked the manual and it just says 87 or higher. Every other Toyota I’ve owned just said 87, so I wasn’t sure. Guess I’ll stick with it.
I always pump diesel.
