I just bought a Sienna 2025 XLE and wondered what gas everyone else uses. Is 87 fine, or should I be going for 93?
I always use regular 87.
The manual says 87 octane is what you need.

You can use a higher octane, but it won’t give better performance or mileage since the engine isn’t made for it.
I stick to whatever the manual recommends. No need to guess.
87 for sure.
Every car I’ve owned, I just use the gas it’s made for. Sienna’s engine is made for 87.
Using 93 is like burning extra cash for no reason.
Wait, people actually use premium in a Sienna?

I did it once today for fun because I had a fuel discount. I doubt it made any difference though.
I drive 40k miles a year in mine and have never used anything other than 87.
How do you spend $45-50k on a car and not ask the dealer or salesperson about the fuel? I’d make sure to know this stuff before buying.

You’ve got a point.
If premium is free, go for it. Otherwise, stick to regular.
I use 85.
87 is all you need.
I was in PA and found a cheaper ethanol fuel. Googled it and found it runs fine in Toyota engines now.

The Sienna isn’t flex-fuel. E15 might be okay, but E85 can harm the fuel system long term. The engine can burn it, but the system isn’t made to handle it.
@Shaye
Toyota says E15 is okay.

Pretty sure the fuel cap says not to do that.
