This was my Outback from a few years back. When I drove it off, the only thing that broke was the rear windshield wiper. A branch hit the plastic roof rack, but it didn’t even leave a scratch!

My 80-year-old mother is visiting. The tornado landed about 2 miles away from us. We’re lucky overall but I’m still mad about the car damage since I bought it only 2 months ago

There have been many casualties so far, but this person is just upset about a broken window.

Some people call it toxic positivity. If someone says they had their package stolen, or a tornado wrecked their car, there’s always someone saying, “but do you have cancer?” It’s tough to win that argument.

I wouldn’t mind the damage much since I have to replace my hatch and taillights anyway, but my issue is that all of this is coming after a storm that harmed people.
I wouldn’t want to post online for sympathy over something so minor.

Actually, I think the entire hatch needs replacing. The branch broke it pretty badly. Now the whole back area is wet. Trying to dry it out as best as I can.

It depends, but there are quite a few plastic parts between that window and the hatch. I’ve replaced similar parts before on my own car.
If you ever see a 2010 in Knoxville with a Scooby-Doo decal, it’s mine. I need to fix that hatch again after a hit-and-run.
Could have used a garage for safe parking.
