I’ve worked on Toyotas for almost 20 years, and hybrids are the way to go for a daily driver. They’re reliable and great on fuel.
Love that you’re a Toyota expert!

But what about battery replacements? Aren’t those expensive after a few years?

Not really. Most hybrids last over 10 years with the original battery. My friend’s Prius is still going strong after 150k miles.
@Valen
That’s fair. My Highlander Hybrid is over 300k miles and still on the original battery.
Besides the fuel savings, hybrids are so smooth to drive. I’ve had a Camry and a Highlander hybrid, and they’re so much better than their gas versions.

That’s a good point, thanks!
If you want to save money, you could get a used Gen 4 Prius (2016–2019). They’re cheaper than a new one and still very reliable.

Thanks for the tip!
Hybrids are quieter and have better acceleration from a stop. You should definitely test drive both types to see which one feels better for you.

Thanks, I’ll try that!
The 2025 Camry Hybrid is a great option. It starts around $28K and gets amazing mileage.

Is it better than the Corolla XLE Hybrid?

I think so. The Camry is more comfortable and still very efficient. I’ve owned both, and I’d pick the Camry.
I used to think I’d never buy a hybrid, but I got a 2025 Camry Hybrid and I love it. It’s the best car I’ve ever had.

That’s great to hear! Thanks for sharing.
I have both a RAV4 Hybrid and a Lexus CT. They save so much on gas. I think plug-in hybrids are the best if you can find one at a good price.

Good to know, thanks!
