What are some reliable Toyota models that are inexpensive to maintain, aside from the Camry?
The Yaris.

I had a 2007 Yaris and it was a blast. Super cheap to run, very reliable, and I owned it for 11 years. I only moved on to a Yaris Cross, which I love just as much. The CH-R is also great.
@Keegan
Same here! I have a 2007 Yaris, no issues at all for two years now, plus it’s great on gas and easy to park.
@Keegan
What’s your take on the Yaris Cross?
Corolla and Corolla Cross.

I’d really like a Corolla Cross. Seems like the perfect small SUV.

Technically it’s a crossover, not an SUV.
@ToyotaTim3
Ah, got it. I keep mixing up crossovers and SUVs.

The Corolla Cross is still a bit pricey. It costs less than the RAV4 but is still more expensive than the regular Corolla.
Toyota Yaris.
Second gen Yaris.
Definitely the Yaris.
A lot of folks say Yaris. I once saw a lifted Yaris truck conversion for $5,000, though it had over 310,000 miles. RAV4s are another great choice. I got mine for a grand, and it’s been rock-solid. There’s not many Yaris options in my area, and the ones I’ve found are high-mileage.
Fun fact: the Chevy Prizm and Pontiac Vibe are essentially rebadged Toyota models. Keep that in mind if you come across one.
I’ve had great luck with my Tercel.
Corolla. Full stop.
If you’re looking at new models, the Corolla Hybrid could be a great choice. It skips some of the maintenance that the standard Corolla requires.
How does the Yaris compare to the Corolla in terms of quality?
Yaris or Vios.
