When is the best time to buy a 25 Platinum Sienna?

I’m planning to buy a 25 Platinum Sienna. I heard Toyota is increasing production by 20% this year, but I’m not sure when the best time would be to shop for the best deal and more options. Can anyone share advice on timing?

Even if Toyota is making more cars, the waitlist is still really long. There won’t be many Siennas sitting around. Your best bet is to reserve one with a dealer that doesn’t add markups and keep searching within a 300-mile radius.

Thanks. It’s really hard to figure out all the extra fees they add.

Every dealer will add taxes and tags. Ask for the total price upfront for the trim you want. That way, you’ll know if they’re trying to add unnecessary extras. If you wait until the 2026 models come out, you might get a better deal on a 2025, but prices could still go above MSRP.

If you can wait, the best time to get a good price is usually right before the next year’s models come out, around October or November. Dealers will try to sell 2025 models before 2026 ones arrive. I got my 2024 for $2,000 below the sticker price last year by buying a few weeks before the 2025s hit the lot.

Figure out the exact trim, extras, and price you want, then email dealers within a distance you’re willing to travel. Let them know your price. If they need to sell quickly, they’ll reach out. I got my 2025 under MSRP in November. Be patient, and eventually, someone will work with you.

Order now, wait four months. Or wait and still wait four months when you try later.

I got offered a 25 Platinum for $2,000 under MSRP. Now seems like a decent time unless you think you can beat that.

Thanks! What part of the country are you in?

I’m in the Southwest. This was at a dealer in Vegas.

Thanks for letting me know.

No problem. I was actually looking for a Limited, but they only had Platinums. Maybe you should check if they’ve got different trims available.

It takes 8–12 months to deliver these. Do you think you can pick and choose your timing?

I just want to know when the best time to shop would be.

If you have a trade-in that’s in high demand, you might get moved up the list. I traded in a low-mileage, clean Sienna and got bumped to the front. They sold my old one within two days.

In my area, all 2025 Platinum Siennas are going for MSRP. No rebates or discounts here.

Whenever you feel financially ready. With all the tariff talks, it’s hard to predict how prices might change.

Toyota makes them in the US, so tariffs won’t have a big impact.

@StephCOPELAND
They’re assembled in the US, but do we know where all the parts are made?
