Why do people always act like getting a Toyota is no big deal?

Why do people feel the need to mention how much money they have when talking about cars? Just say you like your Toyota and move on.

Some people think their wealth adds credibility to their opinion. It doesn’t.

Buying a BMW just to show off is the real waste of money. Some people just want a car that works and doesn’t break the bank.

I get this is a Toyota forum, but come on. Luxury cars do have better materials and performance. It’s not just about the badge.

Getting excited over reliability and low maintenance makes you sound like a dad in the suburbs.

I love my Corolla. I never cared about having a fast or flashy car. I just wanted something safe and reliable.

Why do you care what they think? I drive a 25-year-old Land Cruiser even though I could afford anything else. Love the thing.
