Why won't my 2021 CH-R start?

Yeah, the warranty situation here in the US is pretty bad. Thankfully, I have a relative who’s a mechanic and will take a look at it for me.

That’s great! You’re lucky to have someone who can help. The US system is weird from what I’ve heard.

@Cody
I had the same issue with my RAV4. It was the battery.

@Cody
Where did you get that kind of warranty? Here in my country, it’s only 3 years for the full car and 5 years for the hybrid system, but I can extend it yearly for a fee.

It’s standard in the Netherlands. You get 10 years or 200,000 km if you maintain the car at a Toyota dealer. I think the battery warranty is 15 years.

Thanks to everyone who helped out. It turned out to be the battery! I’m getting it replaced now.

Definitely the battery. This has happened to me twice already. Just needs a recharge.

Same thing happened with my CH-R. The battery just dies without any warning, unlike older cars where you’d notice a slow crank.

Exactly. No warning, just dead. The weather dropped a lot here too, which probably didn’t help.

@Penny
Cold weather can drain batteries fast. It’s frustrating.
