2007 with 417k miles… still running strong?

This car has never had a single issue. My husband bought it from his boss for around $4k. It’s still running great. I love Toyota! My 2002 Sequoia ran until about 400k miles. Unfortunately, rust was the end of it.

I think this settles the debate on which brand makes the most reliable trucks haha. Great run!

Right? Can’t wait to see how many more miles we can get out of it!

What engine does it have?

Just thought of it, Toyota used to give us so many engine choices back in the day. The 5.7L, 4.7L, and 3.0L when the second gen launched—those were the good days. I personally would’ve gone with the 4.7L every time.

@Reeve
It has the 4.7!

That’s one of the best truck V8 engines ever made, cast iron block and all.

Congrats on having a top-tier Toyota product. The newer ones just don’t compare.

@Reeve
They really don’t. My husband bought this from his boss, who got a 2017 Tundra that’s been nothing but trouble after hitting 100k miles. He says he misses this truck every day haha.

Bonus is, my husband can easily work on this truck. The newer ones need to go to the dealership for all the computer stuff to be reset.

This makes me so happy! I just got a 2007 4.7L and it has 157k miles right now—hoping it will last for hundreds of thousands more!

Does it have the 4.7?
