I’m considering a 2014 Tundra 1794 edition with 100k miles priced at $25k. The truck is in mint condition, has had one owner, and has a clean VIN and Carfax report. All maintenance records are from the dealer. I’m wondering if this is a good deal or if I should invest a bit more for a newer model. I appreciate any opinions!
I’d go for it! I just bought a 2014 limited model with 91k miles for the same price, and it’s great.
That’s a solid price for a 4WD truck.
I’d offer less since it’s not 4WD—maybe around $21k in cash. I have a 2014 DC 4WD, and I love it.
Dealers are charging a premium for the Gen 2.5s right now because of issues with the Gen 3s. That price seems reasonable.
I got a 2016 SR5 with 200k miles and a TRD Pro package for $16k. No regrets—happy with it!
Yes, just do it!
Is there any rust?

No rust at all, spotless frame! The only drawback is that it’s RWD.

If you’re okay with RWD, then I say go for it.
For a 1794 edition, I’d say that’s a good price, relatively speaking. Everything seems overpriced these days.
I have a Platinum 2014 that I bought in 2022 with 28k miles. It has over 80k miles now, and I’ve had zero issues. Still love driving it.

How much did you pay for it?
I just bought a 2010 model with 179k miles for $13.4k, and it’s also in excellent condition. Lots of power and a smooth ride. You can’t go wrong with a Tundra. Try to negotiate the price down a bit.
I have a 2014 Tundra 1794 edition. I found it lightly used with only 4200 miles on it, and now it has 87,000 miles. I’ve only had to deal with a minor check engine light issue due to a chewing rat, which was easy to fix. The 5.7L engine is considered one of the best. For $25k, I wouldn’t hesitate. I think I scored at $42k in 2016. It’s the best truck ever.
Edit: It has 4WD, but I honestly prefer not having it to maintain towing capacity.
@Zan
Thanks for sharing that! It sounds amazing. My only concern is that it snows often where I live, so I’m a bit hesitant about the RWD.

I understand. Where I live in SoCal, snow is hardly ever a concern for me.
Why do so many people refer to trucks as cars?
That price won’t last long. It’s a good deal!
I think it’s too much for a 12-year-old truck with 100k miles.
