I’ve been eyeing the 2020 Toyota Camry. I’ve heard a lot of good things about Toyota’s reliability, but I wanted to get some first-hand insights from actual owners. How does the 2020 Camry perform in terms of reliability and fuel efficiency? Are there any common issues or problems that tend to pop up with this model? Additionally, how do you find the driving experience and comfort level, especially on longer trips? Any feedback on the tech features and overall build quality would be really helpful too. Thanks in advance for sharing your thoughts!
2018’s fourth cycle with 39k. It’s okay; the shifting that folks are referring to is when you stop and then accelerate quickly again, almost like a light change. It merely pauses, selects the incorrect gear, or does anything else. This was largely fixed by a software upgrade nevertheless. Since I either adjusted to it or received the update, mine has been flawless. It’s been OK in either case.
According to The Car Care Nut on YouTube, Toyota resolved gearbox problems in the 2020s and later vehicles, albeit some may have carried over into the 2019 model year.
