I am interested in the 2022 Camry Hybrid. Does it come with a key fob that allows remote start, or is remote start only available through a smartphone app?
My 2021 Camry Hybrid LE with the Cold Weather Package came with a factory-programmed fob remote start feature (Lock, Lock, Lock & 3 sec. Hold).
However, it did not come with the full version of the Toyota app. As a result, I can’t use the app for remote start or vehicle tracking; I only get information on mileage, fuel level, and tire pressure because the LE trim is the base model.
When you test drive the car, make sure it has been locked for at least ten minutes before trying the remote start.
I also asked my dealer to activate the windows fob remote roll down feature (Unlock, Unlock, Unlock, and hold until the windows reach the desired level, including the moon roof on some models).
As I mentioned, test the exact car you want to buy since features can vary by market.
Look at this video.
Remote start functionality isn’t standard on all 2022 Camry Hybrids straight from the factory. Its availability usually hinges on the trim level and options package you select. Nonetheless, you have the option to incorporate a remote start system to your 2022 Camry Hybrid through either a Toyota dealership or a reputable aftermarket car audio installer.
@TomToyotaFan I’ve read that the fob remote start feature is exclusive to Toyotas with JBL sound systems, and that it’s also available for Toyotas with Sirius XM radios. Which one is it in your car? I’m trying to decide if I should go shopping for installations or if the car I have on order will have remote start.
