2024-2025 Land Cruiser: Does It Have Artificial Engine Noise, and Can It Be Disabled

Does the 2024-2025 Land Cruiser have artificial engine noise? If so, can it be disabled

It does not. It probably should.

Okay, I’m asking this because someone in the community mentioned that their buddy removed the sound using an OBD tool.

The option is listed, but does nothing.

It doesn’t, thankfully.

That’s good to hear. I wasn’t sure if they included it in this model.

Yeah, I think the previous models had it, but not this one.

I heard that the artificial noise is meant to enhance the driving experience. Does anyone agree?

I get that, but sometimes it just feels unnecessary. A good engine sound is always better.

Totally agree. Nothing beats the real sound of a powerful engine.

I think the artificial sound can be fun for some people, but I would prefer to disable it if I could.

Right, it’s nice to have the option. Just don’t want it to sound fake.

Has anyone tried using an OBD tool to disable the sound? I’m curious if it really works.

Yeah, someone mentioned it worked for them. I’m not sure how reliable that is though.

@Starry
I guess it depends on the tool and the settings. I might give it a try.

I actually like the new sound systems in modern cars. They add a nice touch to the overall feel.

That’s fair. It does create a unique experience, but I still prefer authenticity.

I heard that some models have different sound profiles based on the driving mode. Is that true?

Yes, that’s correct. They adjust the sound based on whether you’re in sport or eco mode.

If I could disable it, I would. I want to hear the pure sound of the engine without any enhancements.
