Hey all, I’m looking for opinions on the 2024 Land Cruiser, especially the 1958 edition versus the other versions. I’m dealing with a lemon law situation with my BMW i4 and am likely going to get a new LC. My main priorities are reliability and a spacious interior since I’m just a basic driver who goes from A to B. I work from home, so I don’t drive much. What are people’s thoughts?
Have 3000 miles and I love it. It’s the Land Cruiser trim with premium package and worth every penny.
Same for me too. Got the cool box and figured I’d hate it. How wrong I was.

I thought the 1958 one is the non-premium one? Or you’re saying yours is?
Land Cruiser trim level is the mid trim and IMO the best considering price vs inclusions.

I’m not well versed, that’s one that is basically ‘Land Cruiser’ not first edition or 1958.
I have a 1958 with ~3000 miles on it. Huge step up from my 2014 T4R SR5. I pull a ~3000 lb travel trailer with it no problem. The interior isn’t quite as spacious as my old 4Runner, but it drives great in town and on the highway.
@Eliot
My gas mileage got much better through the break-in period. Yours been improving?

I don’t plan on towing anymore for the next 6 months so I’ll keep a closer eye on it.
I’ve had the LC trim with premium package for about a month now and have around 750 miles on it. Truthfully, this car is super disappointing for me. I live in a metropolitan area and use it for daily commutes. I know I’m not using the car as intended.
@Broderick
It’s designed for off-roading, which means some compromises for normal driving. If you’re not going off-road, you might be paying a lot for features you won’t use.
Don’t they fix defects if they happen in the first 3 years?

It’s best to stay away from early model years. It takes time for new models to get refined. I suggest sticking with a full-size LC 200 or LX570.
