Yes I got mine for about the same but I paid for all the warranties and got out a little under MSRP

Absolutely. Never pay anywhere near MSRP on a Subaru.

Uhh this is news to me. I’ve read that they don’t really negotiate. This makes the Outback an even better deal.

Maybe something with your area, might have to be willing to do a day trip to a dealer a bit further away. But I have never paid anywhere near MSRP, even during the height of shortages. Most recently I paid about $3k under MSRP for my Outback this past May.

Just purchased the 25 Touring XT with MSRP a bit over $44k for $38,600. Some dealers discount much more than others.

My 19 3.6r Limited is in the shop and they gave me a 25 Premium as a loaner… terrible package. I wouldn’t buy a 25 Premium for anything under 15k. Complete waste of money for what you get.
