They’re all pretty different, so it depends on what you want to use it for. What’s your main priority?
Good point. I’ve got two kids and mostly run around town. The GHH hybrid seems great for fuel savings, but I have concerns about hybrids after 150k miles.
I love the Tundra but have some hesitation because of past recalls. The Land Cruiser is the most expensive and doesn’t have as many features but looks incredible.

When you’re comparing a truck to an SUV, it’s more about what you need. The biggest difference between a Tundra and a Land Cruiser is that the Tundra has a truck bed, and the Land Cruiser is an SUV.
@Cort
What’s your concern with the hybrid? Toyota’s been making them for 25 years, and they hold up well. The Tundra is a solid truck if fuel economy isn’t your main worry. And the recalls on the older models aren’t an issue on the new ones.
@Cort
If it’s just you and two kids, have you thought about the RAV4? I have both a Tundra and a RAV4, and for city driving, the RAV4 is much easier to park and uses way less fuel.
I’ve had my Tundra since 2013, and it’s been one of the best cars I’ve ever owned. Bought it when my kids were young, and the massive backseat was perfect. I’ve got nearly 200k miles on it, and it’s still going strong with only minor repairs.
But if you haven’t driven a full-size truck before, try it out. They’re tough to park, don’t fit in most garages, and get low fuel mileage, even the new ones with the twin-turbo V6.
I work in Toyota parts and honestly, I’d avoid the Tundra. Lots of issues with the latest models, including infotainment problems, engine failures, fuel line risks, and bed cover issues. Something to consider.
