Saw that Toyota’s website has the 2026 GR Supra listed. Does this actually confirm another year of production for the MKV, or is it just a name thing? Maybe I missed something and this is old news?
2026 is supposed to be the last year they make it.

Did Toyota officially say that?
The Supra GR 3.0L Lightweight EVO was announced on a German site. From what I read, this is supposed to be the final version.
Specs are the same as the 2025 model. Looks like they’re doing a limited run and calling it 2026 to line up with the Final Edition branding.
LOL this is gonna be like what Nissan did with the GTR.
2026 Supra ‘Final Edition’
2027 Supra ‘Wait, here’s the real Final Edition’
2028 Supra ‘Okay, this one is REALLY the Final Final Edition’

I wish… but BMW is done with the Z4, so Toyota’s probably wrapping things up too.
@T.gwendew
Yep, exactly.

Toyota does this all the time though. Their last-gen models always stick around longer than expected.
Seems weird that they’re extending production. Since BMW is killing the Z4, there’s no reason to keep making parts for the Supra either. This probably means higher costs for Toyota.
Calling it a 2026 model doesn’t make much sense unless they’re still delivering them well into that year. Otherwise, they could’ve just named it 2025.2.
Not sure if they increased production, but it’s gonna be a rare one.

I read somewhere that only 300 are being made.
Looks like they’re keeping the same infotainment system… no Android Auto or anything new. Hard to believe a 2026 car at this price still has outdated software.
Yeah, Toyota really should push BMW for an update. The fact that a $70k car in 2026 is running tech from 2016 is kinda crazy. Maybe BMW just doesn’t like how the Supra is cooler than their Z4 and M2, so they’re holding back lol.
Saw this video talking about two ‘final’ versions: https://youtu.be/e-P396uRyWg?si=MrHXOYBjDYGh9YbD
Not sure if the US is getting them though. We weren’t named specifically, but maybe we fall under ‘etc.’
