3rd gen owners… can I just pop this back in myself

Noticed a part of my dash sticking out. Can I just push it back in, or do I need to take things apart?

You might need to remove that whole section of the dash, or maybe just the plastic trim piece. Either way, should be an easy fix.

I’ll take a look and see what I can do. Thanks.

Found someone with the same issue. Their replies were more helpful than mine lol.

Appreciate this. I ended up fixing it just now—used some adhesive to get the buttons back in place. I also could have just pulled the plastic cover off and done it that way, but either way, all good now.

Pull down the fuse hatch, reach behind, and push it back in place. Mine did the same thing.

Yep, this is the way to do it. Just pop off that small panel underneath, reach behind it, and it’ll snap right in. Used to knock mine loose with my knee all the time.

Yeah, you’re good to go.

You sure? Wouldn’t want to make you mad lol.

Positive.

Use a plastic trim tool to pry off the outer trim. The buttons should just be clipped into place.

I was worried about breaking something, but your comment gave me the confidence to go for it. Got it snapped back in—thanks!
