Just got this Camry Hybrid as a loaner, and it keeps beeping when I’m driving, especially while accelerating. There are no warning lights on, and I can’t figure out how to turn it off. It’s driving me nuts! Any ideas?
Quick question: are you and your passengers wearing seatbelts? It sounds a bit like a proximity alarm, maybe something inside the car is triggering a sensor. Could be a bag, coat, or something else dangling near a sensor.
Sounds like a faulty sensor to me. If you can, try using an OBD-II scanner to see if any specific events or error codes are being triggered. That might give you a clue.
This doesn’t sound like any of the factory-installed beeps or alerts. My guess is that there could be an aftermarket gadget installed, maybe a tracker or security system, and it’s acting up.

It could be a radar detector or some kind of dealer-installed alarm system. You might want to check if there’s anything like that in the car.
