Anyone checked out the 2025 crosstrek gt edition?

Thinking about the new Crosstrek GT Edition… looks cool and seems like Subaru kept all the good stuff. AWD, decent engine, some fresh black trim and sporty extras. It’s still rocking the 2.0 flat-four, no turbo though. Anyone here driven one yet? Wondering if it’s worth that PHP 2.088M price or if it’s just a body kit upgrade.

I saw it in person last week. The blacked-out grille and new trim make it look more rugged, but the fake chrome on the exhaust was kinda over the top lol.

Yeah Subaru usually keeps it simple but that rear bit looks like something from a tuner catalog.

Still no turbo? Dang. I was hoping they’d bring back that classic Subaru turbo kick. 156 PS is just okay, not exciting.

True but for daily driving, the power’s enough. Just don’t expect to beat anyone off the line lol.

How’s the inside though? Did they improve the seats or tech?

Seats are comfy and still well-designed but no power adjust up front. Interior’s got red piping and GT logo on some trims. Huge 11.6” screen is solid with CarPlay and Android Auto.

Kinda disappointed there’s still no rear A/C vents. Would’ve been nice in this heat. But at least the layout’s good and stuff’s easy to reach.

Yeah that’s a miss for me. For that price you’d expect rear vents and powered seats too.

EyeSight 4.0 is legit. That system warned me once when I was zoning out at a red light. The guy in front moved and my car beeped me awake lol.

Does it do lane keep and stuff too?

@Jane
Yeah, it has lane departure alerts, obstacle warnings and a bunch of safety stuff. It’s kinda like having a co-pilot.

What’s the fuel economy like? I don’t want another gas guzzler.

It’s okay… I think around 8–9 km/l in city and maybe 13 on highway. You gotta switch off the start-stop if you’re in stop-go traffic tho or it gets annoying.

Cargo space isn’t bad. I think 19.6 cu ft with seats up, goes to 54.7 if you fold em. Sloping hatch might limit taller stuff though.

Sounds decent. My current hatch barely holds groceries lol.

How’s the ride? Does it handle rough roads okay?

Yeah, it’s on Subaru’s global platform so it’s pretty solid. Even handled a bit of rallycross in testing. Rides well and soaks up bumpy roads.
