Hey everyone, I got my 2023 Corolla Cross XLE (not hybrid) back in August. It was used but only had 5000km on it, still in great shape. The previous owner just found it too small.
I’m loving the car, but one thing bugs me—the heated steering wheel doesn’t seem to do much. I’ll have it on for a while, and I barely notice a difference. My partner’s Crosstrek gets so hot that I have to turn it off after a few minutes.
Is this normal, or do I have a faulty one?

Mine gets hot at the 10 and 2 positions, so I’d definitely get it checked out. Could be a fuse issue.

Yeah, I’ve tried feeling those spots, but still no heat
I think only certain parts of the wheel are heated, but mine gets really warm, and I usually turn it off after a while.
Are you sure you’re gripping the right spots?

Yeah, I know the heated sections are usually around 10 and 2, but I’ve checked every part of the wheel, and none of it feels warm at all.
@Wayne
That doesn’t sound right. It should get pretty warm. Sounds like it might be defective, I’d get it checked.

Heated sections are at 10 and 2—where your hands should be anyway.

I’ve tried holding it in every position, and there’s still no heat.

Maybe you’re just naturally too hot?
Happy cake day
