I love how I get into my car in the morning, and the radio is blasting from the night before, but I can’t turn it down until the screen loads.

You can use the knob to turn it down while the screen loads. I usually turn it down when I park the night before.
I’m with you on this. The volume display could be way less intrusive. My ‘18 Outback did the same thing. It’s super annoying.

Same here. My ‘15 Legacy, ‘18 Outback, ‘19 Ascent, and ‘21 Forester all have this issue. It’s so annoying when people notice you’re adjusting the volume and comment on it.
Just got the 2025 model, and it’s still like that.

People have complained about it a lot here. I guess Subaru doesn’t care, or they can’t see our complaints because their screens are covered by the giant volume graphic!
It’s so annoying. It’s the least important thing to show, yet it takes over the whole screen. And the volume scale is just weird.

Exactly! We don’t need to see it, that’s what our ears are for!
My only issue is that the middle point is at 19 instead of an even number.
