I’ve had my car act up about four times recently and it’s getting frustrating. Not sure if it’s just me or something’s off with my maintenance. Anyone else having weird issues with their cars lately?
I’d probably joke like, “You look silly spending so much at the gas pump.” Just to lighten the mood, you know?

My friend gets kinda jealous of the mileage I get, but he can’t give up his trucks. He uses them way too much for work, and they’re all second-hand with a lot of miles. The only way he’d consider switching is if he found a newer one at a crazy good deal, like under 3k.
It’s kind of ridiculous to be driving a huge four-seater truck to work every day. They barely fit in parking spots and cost a fortune to fill up.

Yeah, those ‘pavement princesses’ hardly ever haul anything. My Prius does more work than some of those trucks. They’re just for show.
Thanks for the reminder, I really should change my transmission fluid soon. Been putting it off.
I get about 55 mpg, so I’m not too worried about gas prices.
People are so weird. They get really mad when a Prius passes them, especially those with big trucks. I don’t get it, it’s just a car.
Here’s a picture of my ride. Love it or hate it.

Not fooling me, I know that’s a Prius! I always think it’s a smart choice… saves gas and good for the environment. Respect!

Honestly, I think it looks smaller than my 08 Prius. Supposedly it has more cargo space but less room for passengers in the back. I still love my old Prius even after all the repairs over the years… can’t beat the mileage!
I’ve thought about putting a fuel efficiency gauge on the back of my car. Maybe even a sticker that says, ‘This saves me money to spend on your girlfriend’s subscription.’
My fuel gauge squares aren’t accurate at all. I get paranoid about running out of gas even though I usually fill up after 4 gallons. I bet people are shocked when they see how little it takes to fill up compared to their trucks.
@Claire
If you’re filling up with just 4 gallons, your tank’s probably still more than half full. My 05 holds about 12 gallons. Maybe check for a fuel bladder issue?

Yeah, I might have a problem with the pump or the bladder. Used to fill up more, but now I’m playing it safe just in case. I’ve learned not to push it too far.
@Claire
Smart move filling up before it’s too low. Running on empty can stir up gunk from the tank and mess up your engine. Better safe than sorry.
@Claire
I usually run mine down to the last square and haven’t had any issues. I just keep track of the miles and know when it’s time to fill up. In summer, I get nearly 400 miles a tank… winter’s a bit less.
@Ashton
Just be careful letting it get that low too often. Older cars tend to build up stuff at the bottom of the tank and it can mess up the engine if it gets pulled through.
Did you just lose four transmissions in a row or something? Sounds like your car is cursed.
I usually fill up every two weeks or so… works out pretty well for me.
