Anyone else like the conservative viper cut? Does it look good or too plain?

I like it. Clean and subtle. I’m not a fan of the usual viper cut because most of them just seem unnecessary and don’t look great in my opinion.

Does the conservative cut show less of the inside parts from the side? It looks awesome from the front, but I feel like the side view shows too much.

I was worried about the same thing, but I’m happy with the 2/3 coverage. underneath view

Thanks! I wanted no rub, minimal cutting, and as much protection for the engine bay from the elements as I could get.

Did you use heat shrink to cap it off? Looks really clean. I’m not into the aggressive cuts either, so I might try this.

$5 edging from Amazon. It has adhesive on the inside. We’ll see if it holds, but it’s easy to replace if needed.

Exactly. That’s why the YouTubers like Tacoma Beast hate on it—they want you to buy all that extra stuff.

That looks awesome. I’ve been thinking about doing a viper cut but was hesitant about cutting into other parts. This looks like a good option.

I remember people doing this kind of thing with the first gen Tacomas. I never did it with mine, but it looks good.
