Maybe I should finally upgrade from my 2008 Avalon.

You’d be giving up those reclining rear seats though!

One of the best features ever.

I’ve been thinking about upgrading too. I have a 2016 Camry, but the Avalon is tempting.

I’ve also had my eye on the XSE V6 Camry.
Not knocking Toyota, but I had a 2014 IS 350 F Sport with red interior, and after two years, the driver’s seat bolster started wearing out. I’ve only owned Toyota and Lexus cars and will keep buying them, but interior wear is something to be aware of.
@allson
That wear on the left bolster is pretty common, especially if you wear jeans with rivets.
@allson
Yeah, I’ve seen leather seats wear out quickly on luxury brands too. Even some Mercedes models don’t hold up well after a couple of years.
It’s a great-looking interior, but it’s basically borrowed from Lexus. The lighter color can wear out faster too, especially on the side bolsters. If you wear jeans a lot, you’ll probably see some color transfer over time.
@Skyler
Yeah, I have an ash-colored interior in my Camry XLE, and I get some transfer from my jeans on the bolsters. It’s more noticeable on lighter leather.
Toyota really needs to upgrade their infotainment system.

They should just use the one from the new Corolla Hatchback.

The Avalon already has that system.
@Blane
Does it have CarPlay?

Yeah, it does.
Had a 2002 Avalon XLS. It was such a well-built car. I have an SUV now, but my next car might be an Avalon again.
Wish the Camry had this interior option.

Funny enough, a lot of the parts are the same between the two cars.
I love this interior, but I can’t help but notice my Corolla iM has the same steering wheel.
