Anyone else notice Progressive can’t figure out how to insure a Solterra

Shouldn’t have bought that car in the first place.

Honestly, looking for AWD and EV options that don’t take forever to get and aren’t crazy expensive, there’s not much else. Solterra isn’t bad. Drives better than the EV6 and no one’s gonna try and steal it for fun. Looked at the Blazer EV but no AWD available anytime soon.

Battery drops quick though. Says 270 miles, but a few quick starts and it’s down to 200. Winter’s even worse. Could’ve just grabbed the new Outback honestly.

Fair point. I drove the Solterra and it feels fine but yeah, short trips seem like its sweet spot.

If it helps, check out Esurance. They’re the only ones who gave me a decent quote for my Smart EQ. Everyone else, including Progressive, wanted double or triple. None of those insurance apps could beat them either.

Mine’s actually covered under Progressive.

For real?

Yeah, just called them and got it added. Didn’t take long. Did it right before picking up the car.

Mind sharing what you’re paying for the Solterra with Progressive?

Actually switched from Progressive to Geico. Now paying about $550 a year for full coverage online, didn’t even need to call anyone.

If you’re on the West Coast, check out Mercury Insurance. If not… tough luck.
