Anyone got a 2025 Toyota Sienna XSE? Share your buying experience

Great deal. I saw this car being unloaded from the truck, but I’m after the limited trim. I liked how you handled things. None of the dealerships I’ve been to are willing to budge on price. Any tips to get them to take me seriously? :confused:

@Pierce
I noticed quite a few limited trims available in the Houston area. Dealerships were trying to sell me one when they didn’t have the XSE I wanted. Mac Haik had a 2024 Sienna with about 600 miles that they were ready to make a deal on.

To be taken seriously, let them know you’re ready to buy if the price is right. Sometimes new salespeople are hesitant to push too much with their managers. Look for an experienced salesperson with good rapport at the dealership. Ask about their years of experience and background. If one isn’t working out, ask for someone else. Worst case, you deal directly with the sales manager, which can also work in your favor.

You managed all this in just six days? I struggled to balance work, family, and house stuff while car shopping after our old van broke down. I barely had time to look because dealerships are open during my work hours.

@TEXIANA
I started by calling dealerships and followed up with texts and emails. I reused my responses for different dealerships since many seem to use the same scripts. It saved a lot of time during the day.

I had to juggle work, family, and holiday stuff too, so I had backup plans if I couldn’t find the right car within the two weeks we gave ourselves.

@CorollaCrew3
Smart planning there! Sounds like you handled it really well.

I had a similar situation but with even less time. I wanted an XLE AWD but ended up with the Woodland trim because there weren’t many options.

I bought mine from a Galveston dealership. They didn’t mess around and gave me a reasonable price. Space City Toyota, on the other hand, was my worst experience. Where did you end up buying yours?

@Spence
Congrats on the Woodland trim! Those are nice. You might want to add an aftermarket lift if you’re planning on camping in rougher areas. I saw one at Autonation on Gulf Freeway while heading to Mac Haik for a Limited test drive.

I actually bought mine at Space City Toyota, surprisingly. Initially, the salesperson wasn’t responsive or helpful, and the sales manager was rude. But a different salesperson reached out on New Year’s Eve about a deal. I was sceptical at first, but they convinced me with additional details, and we closed the deal on January 2nd.

I’m in Houston looking for a cement XSE with the premium package. I’ve got one on order for $55k + TTL, but I feel like it’s impossible to get a deal because cement is so hard to find.

Cement is rare! I’ve only seen one, and it had a $2k markup. Good luck with your search.

We were open to colours like silver, cement, red, or blue. If we didn’t like the available colours, we planned to pay $1,500–$2,500 for a wrap. It protects the paint and gives you the exact colour you want.

There were a couple of cement XSEs with premium packages in Dallas. Buying there and getting it shipped down was an option we considered if Houston didn’t work out.

Nine miles on the odometer usually means no test drives. Ours had about the same when we picked it up. They probably just drove it to fill the tank.

Really appreciate the detailed post. Super helpful. Thanks for sharing.
