I’m planning to black out my 2018 Tacoma and could use some suggestions. Looking for completely black rims and some off-road capable tires. Any ideas?
Check out Icon Alloys 17x8.5 rims with Falken Wildpeaks 285/70/17 tires. They’re solid for off-roading.

Just a heads-up, you’ll need a 3-inch lift and some trimming to fit those tires. Do you have a lift?
@Holland
Not yet, but I do want a lift in the future. I’ll keep that in mind.

Definitely get the lift first, then do the tires. Makes things way easier.

Yep, lift in the morning, tires in the afternoon… that’s the way to go.

Gotcha, I’ll follow that advice!
I’d recommend American Racing AR172 Black Baja Wheels paired with BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 tires (265/70R16). They’re a good match.
Toyota TRD Pro wheels are a great choice. You can find the older SEMA style (PTR20-35110-BK) or the newer ones for Tacomas (PT946-35200-02). Both look awesome and are reasonably priced if you get them from Toyota parts. You can find lots of pics online. Also, another vote here for Wildpeaks once you know your size after lifting the truck.
I’m thinking about blacking out my 2018 Tacoma rims. Any recommendations for rims that are all black? I’d also like to hear about off-road tire options. Any advice is appreciated!

I’m a big fan of Black Rhino. I’m running 17-inch Arks with Hankook Dynapro ATMs. They’re not too pricey, and they’re truck-rated, so I don’t feel bad beating them up. Just keep in mind, they’re not the best in the rain.

Yokohama Geolandar A/T G015 are worth a look if you’re not going off-road all the time. They’re great on the road, not too noisy, and still give that rugged look while being good for some off-road action.
Why not just try Plasti Dip? It’s a spray that lets you black out rims easily.

I did think about that, but I’m more interested in buying new rims with a different style.
I’ve got KO2s on my Tacoma and Duratracs on my FJ. Both are pretty solid options depending on what you need.
You could always use Krylon spray paint to get the job done yourself.
I’d go with GFX TR16 rims and BFGoodrich KO2 tires (265/75 R16). That setup works well for me.
Try out tirerack.com. You can put in your truck’s info and see how different wheels would look on it.
I’m a fan of my Method 305 (Double Black) with Wildpeaks. Here’s how they look: https://imgur.com/O91e2xG.
