So I’ve been looking into the Subaru Ascent lately. It’s Subaru’s big 3-row SUV that came out back in 2018. Kinda like their follow-up to the Tribeca. All models come with AWD standard, which is cool. I read that in 2023 they gave it a facelift with a new front end, bigger screen, and some tech like a surround-view monitor and Cabin Connect thing. Anyone on here got one or test driven it? Just curious how it feels on the road and if it lives up to the hype.
Yeah I’ve got the 2024 model. Super comfy and tons of room. That pano roof is lol

Does yours have that 11.6-inch screen? I saw pics and it looks huge.

Yep it does. The screen’s massive and super clear. Wireless phone mirroring works great too.
I test drove the 2023 one and it’s smooth. The CVT isn’t my fave, but it does the job. AWD is solid tho.

Oh, it stands for continuously variable transmission. Basically no traditional gear shifts. Some love it, some don’t.
I think all Ascents have the same engine… it’s a 2.4L turbo boxer. Puts out like 260hp? Not bad for a family SUV.

Yeah and 277 torque I think. Definitely enough for road trips and hauling gear.
I’ve had the 2020 model for a while now. No big issues, just regular maintenance. Still rides nice.

Does the 2020 have that Cabin Connect thing?

Nah, that was added in the 2023 refresh I think. Mine doesn’t have it.
Fun fact – it’s actually Subaru’s biggest vehicle ever. Seats 7 or 8. That’s what sold me on it tbh.

Makes sense, especially with kids and all the stuff you gotta carry.
