Anyone here install an aftermarket dashcam in a 2025?

What brand did you go with, and how did you mount it? Do you like it? What are the pros and cons?

I have a Red Tiger F7NTouch with front and back cameras, hardwired into my car with a 256GB SanDisk. I definitely don’t regret buying it.

Same here. It’s cheap and works well.

@Kale
It works great, and the microphone picks up sound really well too.

I have the same model. I can’t complain about my Red Tiger. It was super easy to set up and use.

Yeah… I bought and installed a Fitcamx 4K Dash Cam for my 2025 Toyota Camry, based on a recommendation in this forum. It was pretty easy to install—just watched a bunch of videos. Set it up and forgot about it.

@Ramirez
I bought one too, it’s still in the box waiting for me to finally install it. I’ll probably do it this week. I’ve had one in my VW for 4 years and it’s been great. Looks OEM too.

I got a $300 dashcam from Best Buy. It was awful. Then I got a $50 one from Amazon. It sucked too, but I kept the $50 one. I’d recommend getting anything on sale on Amazon. Save the difference for your deductible. You only need the camera to show who’s at fault. Any cheap one can do that. Here’s the link: [Amazon Link]. My car is a 2015 Camry.

I have a 70mai A810, and the front dash cam works really well during the day and decently at night. It’s hardwired to their powerbank, which lasts about half a day. The new version is coming out soon. The downside is it doesn’t have buffered recording, so if someone walks by the car, it doesn’t catch it right away. The ‘x800’ model has that feature. If you don’t plan to hardwire it, the A810 is fine. The rear cam isn’t great though, especially with my windows having 35% tint. Daytime is great for both cameras, night time front is good, but rear is just okay.
