Anyone seen higher mileage on a 2019 Tundra? Part 2…

Just curious if anyone’s seen a 2019 Tundra with higher mileage than mine. I thought I’d follow up from my last post. Let’s see who’s out there with more miles!

That’s wild! The 5.7 engine really holds up.

Wow, that’s impressive. How many sets of tires do you think that’s taken?

With around 150k miles a year, I’d say 2-3 sets of tires annually. The tire shop must love him.

@Paz
That’s about $30k in gas a year, depending on the mpg and gas prices.

Finally broken in! It’s rare to see a Toyota getting this much use.

My 2019 only has 22k miles…at my rate, I’ll be long gone before it wears out.

Looks like Toyota might want to buy this truck once it hits a million miles. Some dealerships buy high-mileage trucks to show off how reliable they are.

It’s too bad they got rid of the old reliable V8s, but hey, I just bought a 2024 hybrid Tundra anyway.

What’s the secret? Just regular oil changes every 10k miles like the rest of us?

Nope, I change mine every 5k miles. It’s cheap and keeps the truck going strong.

I used to stretch mine to 10k but thinking 5k might be the way to go.

@Keats
Yeah, changing oil is cheap insurance. Toyota even recommends every 5,000 miles for a reason. They check all fluids and often suggest an oil change at each visit, so it keeps things running smoothly.

@Finian
Exactly. Toyota actually recommends 5k in the manual, but the oil companies say 10k if it’s light usage. I’ll stick to 5k.

That’s just crazy…like 500 miles a day! Every single day.

Any guesses on the total gas cost?

If they’re driving daily, that’s over 500 miles a day, or about 3700 miles a week. That’s an oil change every week and a half. Unreal!

I’d absolutely hate driving that much!

Can’t even imagine the gas bill to get it to that mileage…

Pretty soon, we’ll see 2022 Tundras racking up this kind of mileage too…just wait!

My 2022 is at 50k already. Doing my best to keep up!
