After getting a lecture from my local service supervisor about how the Tacoma key card wouldn’t work with my Tundra 1794, I finally convinced him to try programming it. I even said I’d pay for it if it didn’t work…
It worked!
This is easily the best upgrade I’ve made to my truck. It’s so convenient to just carry my wallet now. If you’re interested, you can get the key card from the Rave Off-Road site.

Reminds me of when the dealership told me I couldn’t add working tow mirrors to my Tundra. Spoiler: they were wrong too.
I had no idea this was even a thing. I checked, and the card is $335. How much did they charge you to program it?
I really wish the Tundra had a digital key feature, but this seems like a solid option.

Quick question though: what happens if the battery in the card dies? Can you still get in?

It probably works like a regular key fob when the battery dies. Check your manual—it should explain how to handle that.

Yep, you’re right. The card has a small physical key inside that you can use. The card itself is about the thickness of two or three credit cards stacked together.

There’s a physical key built into the card. The whole thing is about as thick as three credit cards.
I’ve got a 2025 Tundra. Just to confirm, did you buy the key card directly from a Toyota dealership, and they handled the programming for you?
