I have a follow-up question: can the 1500w adapter be installed at the dealer? If it ships without it, can it be added later?
Here’s a spec sheet showing the 1500W inverter for a 2025 XLE: https://imgur.com/a/pYLiPob

@Teo
I’m realizing that while it’s not part of the plus package, it seems to only come with those that have the plus package. Another user confirmed this too. Thanks for sharing that sheet.

That’s not accurate anymore. A few dealers nearby have the inverter available without needing the plus package. They might be rare, but it’s possible.
@Verne
That’s interesting, because the website states that to get the inverter, it must include the Plus Package as well: https://imgur.com/a/DJgCkOG

I apologize for the mix-up. I was looking at the Limited, which doesn’t have the plus package, just the entertainment package. The inverter is an add-on option there, like on the Platinum.
@Verne
Such good news to hear

No worries, that’s actually my allocation sheet. We found a dealer who matched our options, mainly the Spare Tire and Inverter option. We didn’t want the Plus package, but it’s included, so we’re going for it. Compared to the 2024s, it does cancel out the $1000 price hike since the Plus Package then was $2000, now it’s just $885 plus $300 for the inverter.
From what I understand, at the allocation stage before building, all options can be changed or requested for change if you get the vehicle early enough. It helps to find a dealership with an incoming allocation and request the vehicle color and options you want. Factory options can’t be changed once the build is near, as they’re fixed items. Distributor and Port options can be removed and are often negotiable at the dealership level for adding or removing options or negotiating the price since they are typically easier to handle. This creates a situation for dealerships where they advertise vehicles at MSRP without DIO items. You’ll see dealerships not adding any DIO items, but they will often load up vehicles with Distributor and Port items, which increases their profit while claiming these came from the factory or port and are part of the MSRP.
