Just wanted to share this photo… these things really saved my car more than once.
Alright… you convinced me. I’m finally going to get off my butt and put those rocker panel stickers on this weekend.

Honestly glad I installed them. They’ve saved me a few times now. They really do what they’re supposed to.
I’ve been wanting to put them on because of the extra protection. I also think they’ll look great and match my car’s style. But I’ve been putting it off since winter because I’m not excited to install them myself
@Verne
I hear you… I got them for the look too, though they’re kinda hard to notice on grey paint. Still, they stand out a bit if you know what to look for. On white or silver, they’ll look even better.
I hit a tree stump once and my rocker panel took the hit. The part with the sticker stayed looking fine, but the uncovered part got scratched up. So yeah, they do the job.
If you’re nervous about putting them on, a vinyl installer can do it cheap. I paid Toyota’s body shop around $120 for the job. Not too bad.
Totally agree! I did both too. The rocker sticker wasn’t hard to install. It feels like skateboard grip tape and sticks well. I put mine on during freezing weather and they’ve held up fine. I’d also recommend the rear bumper sticker. Got both from Toyota instead of aftermarket. Great call by you.
And yeah, the ones from 8th gen fit the new 9th gen. Same rocker panel apparently.
@Porter
I do have the rear bumper sticker too—more for looks though. I haven’t put it on yet. Toyota quoted me $80 to install it. Just haven’t had the time.
I’ve had the rocker ones on since October and they’ve held up really well. The material is tough and doesn’t peel or scratch easily. And at around $40 or less, it’s worth doing. Good to know the 8th gen version fits the 9th gen. I thought they might be the same, but wasn’t totally sure.
Thanks for sharing your experience too!
Do you have a link or where can I buy them?

Go to this site and put in the part numbers below. It’ll show which Toyota dealer near you has them. If they’re out of stock, they can usually ship it to the dealer next day for free, or ship to your house for a fee.
Rocker panel sticker (no TRD logo, just buy one set—it covers both sides): PT929-03210-01
Rocker panel sticker (with TRD logo): PT929-03210-02
Mudguards (for SE/XSE): PU060-03181-TP
I put both on my 2024 LE in Ice Edge. Haven’t really tested them yet, but they look great.
