Avalon Limited or Touring... which one is more comfortable?

I’m trying to decide between the Avalon Limited and Touring models. I want the quietest ride with the most comfortable seats for long drives. I’ve heard the Touring is sportier, but does that make it less comfortable? Also, is the Limited really quieter inside? Anyone here own both or test-driven both? Looking for some insights before making my decision

I have the Limited, and I went with it specifically for comfort. The ride is smooth, and the cabin is quiet. The Touring has a sport-tuned suspension and a louder exhaust, so it’s not as soft on the road

Good to know. How are the seats? I heard they’re different from the Touring ones

The seats in the Limited have softer leather and a bit more padding. The Touring seats feel firmer, especially on long drives. If comfort is your priority, Limited is the way to go

I’ve driven both, and I agree. The Limited seats are better for long trips. The Touring seats are fine, but they’re stiffer, probably because of the sportier design

I had a Touring for a year and switched to a Limited. The biggest difference is how much quieter the Limited is. The Touring has a sport exhaust, and even with the windows up, you can hear it. The Limited is much better if you prefer a quiet ride

@Wilder
I noticed that too. I test drove the Touring, and the exhaust noise was always there. Even in Eco mode, it still had that growl

@Wilder
That’s what made me get the Limited. The Touring has more road noise too. The Limited just feels more refined

One thing to consider is the tires. The Limited comes with 18-inch wheels, and the Touring has 19-inch. That extra inch makes a difference in ride comfort. Smaller wheels mean more cushion from the tires

@CorollaChris4
That’s a good point. I had an XSE before, and the ride was stiffer because of the low-profile tires. Didn’t love it for long trips

@CorollaChris4
Yeah, if you care about comfort, 18-inch wheels are the better option. Less road feedback

I think it depends on what you’re looking for. If you want a sportier drive with firmer handling, the Touring is great. If you want luxury and quiet, go for the Limited

Agreed. The Touring is fun to drive, but the Limited is better for daily comfort. Just depends on your preference

Yeah, the Touring handles better, but you feel more of the road. The Limited is just smoother overall

I was debating the same thing before I bought mine. The Advanced Safety Package was a big factor for me. The Limited I found had it, but the Touring I was considering didn’t. If you want the full safety features, check the options

@RadiantRaven
That’s actually a really good point. The Limited is more likely to come with the full safety package

@RadiantRaven
I almost got the Touring but went with the Limited for the safety features. No regrets
