Time to swap out wiper blades on a few of my vehicles. This isn’t just about my Corolla, though. The original arms are long gone. I’ve tried Rain-X blades before, but honestly, the experience has been mixed. Last time, I had to call Rain-X for a replacement because the blades were streaking right out of the box. This year, I’m looking to switch things up and try something different. I’ve heard Bosch ICON blades might be a solid option. Any other recommendations? Would love to hear what you all think.
I have had good experiences with Bosch ICONs, especially in the Texas heat. They’ve lasted over five years on the cars I keep in the garage. If durability is what you’re looking for, these might be worth a try.
I usually stick with the OEM wiper rubber replacements from the Toyota dealer for my newer cars. They’re around $10-13 each and last quite a while. Might be a good option if you want to keep things simple.
Yeah, I’d consider that, but I bought my car used, and it came with Rain-X blades already installed. Getting the whole arm and blade set from Toyota is pretty pricey, so I’m exploring other options for now.
By the way, Bosch has a few different options like the Clear Advantage, DirectConnect, Evolution, Focus, and Aerotwin. Has anyone tried those?
Anyone tried PIAA wipers?
Yeah, I’ve used the PIAA silicone blades. They last a lot longer than regular rubber ones. You can find them on Amazon if you’re interested.
