Was driving south on I-95 toward Miami when I heard a loud pop from the rear driver’s side. Turns out the tire blew out. No clue why, it’s barely been used (less than 5K miles).What’s the best way to handle this? Should I tow the car to a shop and have them swap it, or just take the wheel off myself, grab a new tire, and install it at home?I don’t trust tow truck drivers much after one scratched up my car before.
Wait, you’re actually asking this?

Yeah, just wondering how others handle it. Miami roads are brutal with potholes and scams everywhere.
If you don’t wanna use a tow truck, then you already know what to do.

Fair point. Guess I’ll just do it myself.

No worries. Hope I didn’t sound like a jerk. Hard to trust anyone with your car these days.
@Cleo
All good. This forum is what it is, lol. Just wanted to see how other Supra owners handle this. First time dealing with this on a low car.
I took my rim and tire to the shop, but had to get the car flatbedded home.
