Hey everyone, I was super excited to get my brand new 2025 Camry, but things went bad fast. The car started showing this error message on the first day. It’s now with the dealer, and they’re checking it out, but they seem pretty casual about it like it’s a used car or something. Do I have to just accept whatever they say, or can I make sure the car is truly fixed? I’m really confused and looking for any advice on how to handle this. Thanks!

This could fall under Lemon Law. It varies by state, so definitely check yours. You might need a lawyer if things don’t go well.

That message can show up if the car ran out of fuel on the lot. Try starting and turning it off three or four times to reset it.

Did you just get gas? Overtightening the gas cap can cause this. It happened to me on my 2023 RAV4, and after clearing the code, it fixed itself in a couple of days.

Toyota quality has dropped since COVID. I couldn’t trade in my 2022 Tundra and had to sell it to CarMax.

That’s what they say, but no official service bulletin has been sent. I couldn’t trade my Tundra anywhere except Carvana and CarMax.

They haven’t released the solution yet. The plan is to send fully assembled long blocks to fix the affected vehicles, but it’s taking a while. Dealers will also get new tools to make the job easier.

Everyone’s talking about Lemon Law, but the car has a warranty.

I had a similar problem with my 2020 Yaris. Turned out to be a gearbox issue.

Took it to the dealer, and they fixed it under warranty. I’ve also had 12V battery issues where the car said ‘Hybrid Power Unavailable.’ Just throwing out ideas!

The vehicle battery probably died while it was sitting on the lot, and they just jump-started it. That can mess with the hybrid system. It might need a new battery or a fuse.
