I need a reliable daily driver after my 2011 Saab blew a head gasket. Considering a 2006 Toyota Avalon XLS with 51,000 miles for $10k. It’s in excellent condition with regular oil changes, new tires, and brakes, and all recalls are done. The second owner is an older man. I drive 34,000 miles annually, mostly on highways. Would this be a good buy for an 8-year lifespan despite its age?
Only a little worried about it being an older car.
That 2006 Avalon sounds perfect. Toyotas are tanks, especially with that mileage and maintenance history. Plus, older owner = likely well-cared for. You drive a ton, but Avalons are highway champs. With regular TLC, it could last you 8 years easy, maybe even longer. Get a mechanic to check it out before you buy, but that Avalon sounds like a winner. Don’t sweat the age, Toyotas are built to last
Hello there, this is a good automobile. It’s ancient, so don’t be surprised if you still have to conduct maintenance on it every year, but it’ll last far longer than many other cars that age.
