What is this cable inbetween the handbrake and gearstick. Mk1 yaris gs
Probably for an option that you don’t have. My 2013 had cables like that under the dash.

Those options might still be there like the cruise control. Give the man some hints.

But you already do… you just need to buy the cruise control thing on Amazon with the adapter. You have to drill a hole for it, but for $20 and some manual labor, it’s a win!

Well, I’m going on a 4000 mile road trip next week so I’m getting this ordered ASAP. Any idea what this cable is under the handbrake? And will mine have the cruise control module? It’s a 2002 Mk1 XP10 GS 5 speed 1.0.

Mine came with 2 square ports for future, an AUX plug and the Unlock/Lock switch that is always getting pushed by something placed in the middle

Could be many things. My guess is door locks as if I remember correctly that’s what mine had there.

The one I found is compatible only with 2007-09 Yaris.

You do have all wiring needed…all you need is to install the dial/switch and you may need a relay…been there done that lol.

Yeah, I’m assuming it’s stuff to do with having a low trim variant. Any idea what this could be?

I can’t say lad, they have too many models of Yaris and options. You’ll have to look up your model and see what the high-end models had to offer.
