Got my truck ready for camping and hitting the trails. Added some new gear, and I’m loving the setup so far. Let me know what you think!
Nice setup. Where did you get those tires and rims?

The rims are Volk Racing TE37, size 18x9 +0 in Mag Blue. The tires are Fuel M/Ts, size 35/12.5/18.
Where’d you get the topper and tent? I’ve been thinking about doing something similar for my Tundra.

The topper is an Alucab Contour Canopy without side windows. I got it from Tiny Rig Co since they’re local to me, but OK4WD also sells them. The tent is a Freespirit Recreation Aspen Lite XL, which you can order from gofsr.com.
I chose this setup because the topper and tent together weigh around 250 lbs, which keeps things light. If I were to do it again, I might go with a Go Fast Camper or Alucab Modcap for something even more streamlined.
@Zariah
Another Tiny Rig build… looks great! Hope to see you out on the trails.
What size are the tires and rims?

18x9 +0 rims with 35/12.5/18 tires.
Is your lift 3 inches or 6 inches?

It’s around 3 inches with KING 2.5 shocks and Icon Billet Front Upper Control Arms. My truck came with the OEM 3-inch TRD lift kit, but I swapped out the shocks and front uppers for the KING setup.
@Zariah
How does the KING setup compare to the TRD Bilstein shocks? I’ve got the TRD lift right now and was thinking about switching to KING.

Both are very comfortable, but the KING shocks feel smoother on rough trails. The TRD shocks were a bit stiff on bumpy terrain, while the KING setup feels great even at higher speeds on trails. It’s probably more than I need, but I got a great deal and don’t regret upgrading. For crawling and articulation, the KING setup performs really well too.
On highways, both setups are super comfortable, but the KING feels more stable with less body roll in regular driving.
@Bradley
I paid $2800 for the full KING set and $1200 for the upper control arms. If you want to save some money, you can stick with the TRD front uppers since they’re adjustable for caster. Love the color of your truck—it was my second choice!
That’s a great-looking build. How has it handled on the trails? Looks like you’ve been putting it to work.

It’s been solid so far, no major issues. I’m thinking about adding durobumps for when I bottom out at higher speeds. I might also upgrade to Dobinsons 700lb rear springs since I’m still using the OEM rear springs with the KING shocks.
