Did I get a good deal or nah?

Hey all—had to buy a car due to my situation. Ended up getting a 2025 Camry LE AWD with no extras (no packages, no fancy features). MSRP was $31K, but I got them down to $28K before fees. After all the back-and-forth, my final price was $29K OTD—then I snagged another rebate from Toyota, so my actual cost is $28.5K.

I shopped this deal around to six different dealers, and they all told me they couldn’t go lower. So now I’m walking away with the car, but for my own peace of mind…

Did I get a solid deal, or did I get worked? :sweat_smile:

I’d recommend the convenience package. The smart key system and power seats are super handy, especially if you’ve got kids or a garage.

I like tech, but $1K for a powered driver’s seat, auto-dim mirror, and a smart garage system seems steep. I rarely adjust my seat anyway.

For me, it’s worth it. Programmed my garage door, my parents’ garage, and my security gate into HomeLink. Also, not needing to take my key out of my pocket is a game-changer when carrying my kid.

For a car I’m keeping for years, $1K isn’t bad for features I use daily.

@Aman
Smart key access alone is worth half the cost, IMO.

If you knocked $2K off MSRP, that’s a solid deal.

No one got fleeced—it’s a fair deal. Would’ve been even better at $28K OTD, but you did well.

If you’re super set on $28K flat, you could wait it out. Someone might give in. But honestly, plenty more 2025 Camrys will roll in, so don’t let dealers scare you into thinking they’re limited.

For a brand new 2025, that’s a great deal. I bought a 2023 Camry LE AWD with heated seats & steering wheel (no leather or sunroof) and 9,500 miles on it for $29,500.

You got a new one for less, so I’d say you did alright.

@Renny
Not really relevant here, but uh… you overpaid. :grimacing:

Yeah, you lost me at ‘paid for a 3rd party warranty’ lol.

What was the final out-the-door price?

$29K OTD, but with a Toyota rebate, it came down to $28.5K.

If you had to buy due to circumstances, the dealer probably knew that and held firm on pricing. Desperation can kill negotiations.
