Picked up a 2024 Subaru Forester Wilderness yesterday and I’m in love. Got it shipped from Utah to Arizona. Paid $25k for it with 8k miles. Traded in my 2022 RAV4 Hybrid. This thing is exactly what I wanted. The green matches my park ranger pants too, which feels kinda perfect. It’s the first car I’ve owned that really feels like it fits me. Been driving it for two days and can’t stop smiling (gas mileage isn’t great, but I’ll live).
I was 24 with a beard working as a park ranger when I bought my first Forester too. Now I’m 39 and still driving it with over 150k miles. You’re gonna love it.

Haven’t done the park ranger gig yet but I’m 24 and had a Forester with a manual. Loved that car.
Welcome to the lesbaru club. Doesn’t matter who you are, once you’re in… you’re in.

Feel seen. Trying to decide what color Forester hybrid I should get.
How would you compare it to your 22 RAV4?

My RAV4 was an XLE trim. Not cheap but felt kinda boring. Seats stained fast, screen was meh, and it just didn’t feel comfy. The Forester Wilderness looks and feels way better. More comfy, better features, smoother ride. RAV4 was better for gas and power (hybrid), but the Forester wins for outdoors stuff. I wish Subaru made a hybrid Wilderness. That’d be the dream.
@Verne
Subaru AWD is always active and works great in all conditions. Most other brands only kick in AWD when they need it and shut it off after a certain speed.

That’s mostly true but Lexus has full-time AWD too on some of their models. Not symmetrical like Subaru but it’s always on.
@Verne
SRH is such an underrated Subaru feature. Love it.
@Verne
That’s all it took to convince you? Ha!
@Verne
Thanks for the breakdown! I’ve got a 2021 Crosstrek Sport and love it. Was eyeing the RAV4 Woodland but you’re making me lean back toward Subaru.
Wait… $25k for a 2024 with only 8k miles?

Yep, it’s a rebuilt title. The shop I got it from had great reviews and the damage was just a hit to the right bumper, so no big frame issues. Hoping no future wiring surprises, but for now it runs great.
@Verne
Got it. I used to drive a rebuilt Hyundai Elantra before I wrecked it. Replaced it with a 2022 Forester Wilderness. Love it.
Just don’t forget the flannel to complete the look.
Not sure I got the joke in your title but hey, good deal. What color interior you got?
My wife and I both drive Subarus and joke we’re a straight-up lesbian couple. My sister shows up in hers too. It’s chaos.
