I got a 2024 Corolla LE yesterday as my first car. I put down $9k with a 765 credit score and paid $26k out the door. Did I get ripped off? I thought I was getting a deal since they reduced the price by $4k because my mom works there, but after thinking about it, I feel like I might have overpaid by $2-4k. Still, I’m happy to have a new car. My last one was a 1997 Honda Civic that was falling apart
I paid $18k for my 2024 LE but I had discounts
I paid $25k for a 2024 SE. Paying $26k for an LE might be a bit much.
Corollas are popular. Prices can vary based on your location and availability. Can you share where you bought your Corolla?
I just bought a 2025 LE Hybrid for $22,500 without any dealer packages. So yeah, you might have been charged more. I’m in the Southeast US. I put down $8k with a co-signer because my credit isn’t great, but my brother helped me out.
Damn, new or used? I got a used 2024 Prius XLE last month with no down payment. My credit is similar to yours. I went to a dealership and everything was smooth.
I paid $26k with no down for a 2020 SE in 2020. Not sure if prices have been fair in the last couple of years.
The $26k was the sticker price and you put $9k down, making it $17k plus tax and title. Or did you actually pay $31k for a base model Corolla with fees?

His mom works there and was asked to add extra fees for her.
I paid $20k in full for a 2020 SE
It’s odd people ask if they overpaid. It’s better to know if it’s a good deal or do some research before buying. I never buy things like computer parts without checking multiple sources and reading lots of reviews.
@Bela
You don’t need to negotiate for simple items like a toaster.
I paid $23.5k with the premium LE package and some extras in Missouri

Was that for a 2024 model? I should have mentioned.
No, mine was $22k out the door for a 2023 Corolla LE
I paid $23.5k out the door for a white Corolla with several add-ons in South Texas
Why does it have old headlights even though it’s a 2024 model? All new Corollas have updated headlights. Regarding the price, I think it’s okay, but without the facelift, the price could have been lower by $2k.
You should learn to negotiate! I bought a 2024 LE Hybrid for $23,800 out the door with a $5,465 dealer discount from Germaine Toyota in Naples, FL. Paid cash without a trade-in. The trick is to buy online and let the dealer call you back. Never go to the showroom or answer their calls. Negotiate everything by email.
