Does anyone else like the 2024 style more than 2025?

I just can’t get into the front grille of the 2025 models. The 2024s just seem sleeker to me. Plus, I’m not sold on the idea of an all-hybrid lineup.

The outside look is debatable, but the inside of the 2025 is way nicer. The XSE seats are fantastic, and it drives a lot smoother.

The screen is better, but as someone with an XSE V6, I prefer analog gauges. It also drives faster than the new models, but I know the V6 appeals to a smaller group.

@RoadWarriorX
I totally agree about the gauges and screen (haven’t driven either model though). I know it’s not a popular opinion, but I actually like the 8th-gen interior layout more than the 9th, especially the gauges and dashboard. The 9th-gen does feel more cohesive overall, though.

@Freddie
The 9th-gen is definitely more modern, especially the front and interior, but the XSE V6 keeps the quad exhaust, analog gauges, the more powerful V6, and a steering wheel I like better. I also prefer the rear look of the 8th-gen.

I didn’t like the 2025 XSE’s exterior at first, but now that I own one, I think it looks more aggressive. It’s also a pretty fast car.

I had a 2021 XSE, and the 2025 feels like a big upgrade. It’s lighter, smoother, and just better overall.

I don’t agree. The hybrid’s acceleration is solid, and 45 mpg is pretty great. The dual 12-inch screens and upgraded materials are a big step up.

I’m more concerned about having enough passing power than just quick acceleration off the line.

I tried sport mode in my XSE FWD for the first time yesterday and was surprised by the torque. It’s pretty fun to drive!

@Ridge
Exactly! I’ve had V6 and V8 cars before, but this hybrid feels strong—and don’t forget that 45 mpg!

@Ridge
I clocked 0-60 in 6.8 seconds in my FWD XSE Premium Plus with sport mode on. No AC or audio. The LE might be even quicker since it’s lighter.

That’s not bad at all for 230 horsepower, right?

@Casey
It’s 225 for FWD and 232 for AWD.

I’d still pick the V6 any day.

I have a 2024, and the seats are a big letdown on long drives. Are the 2025 seats actually better?

@Verne
The seats in the 2025 SE aren’t great, but the XSE seats are much better. They have a sportier feel, and I drove 12 hours without any discomfort. The materials and design are different too.

@Verne
I couldn’t get comfortable in my TRD either. Sometimes it gave me really bad back pain. I ended up trading it after a year for a GR86, which surprisingly has more comfortable seats.

As for the 2025 models, they look amazing in two-tone colors with a blacked-out grille.

@Sarah
The new seats actually feel like they fit better for men this time around.

@Sarah
I’ve heard the new fabric cleans up just like Alcantara. That’s a big plus!

Team 8th-gen all the way!
