I recently ran out of gas, but my low fuel level light never came on. I thought maybe my fuel pump was failing, but after putting a gallon in, the truck drove to the gas station just fine. I filled up and drove uphill for 20 minutes without any problems. The red bar on the fuel gauge started to light up on the low side, but I’ve never actually seen a low fuel icon on my 1996 T100 SR5. Does this truck even have a low fuel warning light? It’s hard to tell since nothing lights up on my dashboard if it’s supposed to.
I’ve had mine since new, and I’ve both run on fumes and completely out of gas without ever seeing a warning light. Mine is a 1995 DX model, though. Our manuals show we should have them, but I’ve never seen it either.

Yeah, it’s strange. I feel like I should’ve noticed it by now if it was there.
That red bar on the low side of your fuel gauge is actually the low fuel warning light. I don’t think there’s a separate icon-based warning on the T100.

Oh, that makes sense now. I just assumed there would be some kind of actual icon or alert.
