About a week and a half ago I picked up my dream car from the dealership … Definitely an upgrade from my old car
Congrats … I hope to get there myself one day

You will get there, I thought I’d be lurking for much longer. Decided life is too short and so I stopped hesitating and just pulled the trigger. If you work hard you’ll be there in no time. A little advice … don’t be afraid to be picky. Take your time and make sure it’s what you want, from color to packages. If you’re buying used, don’t be afraid to speak up. Trust me the dealers want the sale. If you see something you don’t like, point it out. If you look unsure or unhappy, they’ll likely try to fix it, whether it’s paint chips or wheel scuffs … it doesn’t hurt to speak up
Congratulations … what price did you manage to get it at

I got the 4-cylinder. While I love the sound of the 6 with the extra features it comes with, I couldn’t bring myself to pay the difference quite yet. I plan to drive this for a few years and maybe trade it in for the big boy a few years down the line with hopefully a promotion. I also had concerns with potential oil burning, lower gas mileage, and increased insurance costs. After all, this was my first actual car purchase besides the beater I drove through school. It’s a 2021, I got it used with 20k miles for $40k. Maybe not the best deal but I’m super happy with it
@silikmed
I managed to find a 6 cylinder for around 48500 about two years ago. I still felt like I could have gotten a better deal but I’m happy with it. The oil burning is apparently normal for these cars per the dealer. The amount burned depends on how aggressive I drive. I’m happy that you found a 4 cylinder … those are fairly uncommon and the car is I think about 600 pounds lighter than the 6

Awesome … I got mine for $50k with 4,800 miles, 2020
@CarEnthusiast
Yeah the weight difference isn’t the biggest deal … at least it wasn’t the selling point, it was simply a price point thing, but the 4 banger definitely still has plenty of pep for me at least for now. I’m seeing similar deals to what you got so I think you got a pretty good deal. Do you have any pictures
@silikmed
I’ve got the exact color you have (Turbulence Grey) just with the 2021 wheels. I thought about doing mods but would rather keep it stock as it’s my daily. I now keep a slowpoke plush as my passenger
@CarEnthusiast
I love it … I was thinking about mods but I absolutely love how the car looks already. Was thinking of a small duckbill or something but the car is so beautiful stock I’m not sure if I’ll do anything maybe besides some small spacers
@silikmed
I would recommend a flat bottom steering wheel as I’m around 5 11” (6 on a good day) and it was a bit cramped. The car gets more comfortable as it becomes more a part of your day so it took like a week to get used to
@CarEnthusiast
I’ve looked at steering wheels … might consider it. I drive with my knees occasionally. I’m not tall though so the cabin space has actually been perfect for me. I’m also not super savvy with things like that so idk if I’d be able to install it myself. I’m considering getting a remote start so the car can warm up in the mornings first
